Dues & Registration Fees

What do Pack Dues & Registration Fees cover?

Membership dues and registration fees are necessary so there is enough money to cover the expected costs of providing a quality program. Pack dues cover BSA Fees, insurance, monthly program costs, patches and advancement awards, belt loops, supplies for den activities and pack activities for the scout. Some special programs and outings or council events which are open to scouts but we are not attending as a Pack may have additional costs. There will also be additional costs for each adult and/or sibling attending events.

Dues and registration fees are subject to change each scout year. Please refer to the specific amounts and due dates provided during Parent Orientation or as updated on the Frequently Asked Questions page for each scout year.

What Fees were paid at the council roundup?

Most new scouts register and pay the BSA dues at the council roundup and choose whether to subscribe to Boys Life Magazine. Though this money may be collected by the Pack Treasurer - these fees go directly to council and do not support any activities in our Pack.

Returning scouts will need to submit BSA dues (and Boys Life Magazine subscriptions) to the Pack Treasurer for rechartering by the first Pack meeting.

Additional Pack/Council Funding

To maintain a lower fee for dues, we will ask for assistance and participation in fundraising activities throughout the year. The most important of these is the Council sponsored Popcorn Program which generally occurs in October. Our pack receives only a portion of the profit from this sale, therefore, we request (though do not require) that each scout sell at least $150 in popcorn. We hope to have several opportunities for the scouts to participate in group sales outside of local establishments.

Additional fundraising activities will be dependent on the amount generated from the Popcorn sales and the budget necessary for remaining activities on the pack calendar.
