Pack 97 Weekly Newsletter

Sept 18th: Den Meeting;

Please enter through the church as we will start with announcements in the church. We will be starting meetings in our den space.                                      

Items due during this meeting:                                    

• Last day to pay for camping at Copperhead Island.  We will not be collecting funds at the event.                                       
• T-shirt distribution(tentative)  If you ordered a t-shirt we are planning on them being available today.  Payment is due at the time of pickup.                    
• Sign up for Gold Rush Camping to be held 10/19-10/21                      
• Tigers:  You have a go see today with your leaders and will not be meeting at the church.  All information we are handing out at the church will be available to you through your Tiger leader.  Contact your den leader with questions. 

Sept. 22nd:  Camping at Copperhead Island               

We will have a flyer with directions and an agenda available at Tuesdays den meeting.  If you would like to be part of a caravan up to the island, we will be meeting in the parking lot of Wachovia between 7:00-7:15 and will leave no later than 7:20  There will be some free family time in our schedule.  During this time you can utilize the fishing pier.  Bring your own gear.  Children under 16 do not need a fishing license.  Remember the boys are to be in uniform for the campfire portion of our camping trip. 

September 25th: First Pack and Bobcat Ceremony

All boys should have their uniform by this date.  They are to wear them to all den/pack meeting unless otherwise instructed by their den leaders.  We will not be collecting funds at pack meetings. 

Dates to Remember:            

10/1 Popcorn sales start                

10/2  Last day to pay for Gold Rush Camping                                       

We need to send in the final registration on the 3rd.  If you have not signed up and paid by this date, you will be unable to participate.                  

10/19-10-21 Gold Rush Camping             

11/3  Pack Garage Sale/Bake Sale 

This will be held at the church.  This will hopefully cover the majority of the cost of the Yorktown trip.  Save all your treasures.  Ask your neighbors if they would like to donate their "treasures" to our pack.  We are a non-profit organization so this is tax deductible.  Letters available upon request. 

A few Last Items:

We will start committee meetings for the different events next month.  The first two will be the camping and fundraising/garage sale.  Watch for more information in the coming e-mails. 

Ms. Mo's Tiger den is going to be collecting magazines for the next few months.  They will then donate them to a hospital as a community project.  Please save all your magazines for the next few month.  More information will be available about when to bring them soon.
