The Weekly Newsletter of Cub Scout Pack 97
May 22, 2008
Hello Everyone! Sorry for the delay in getting the first summer edition of our newsletter out to you. I would like to say a huge “Thank You” to David Christenson on behalf of all of us for the AWESOME newsletters he distributed for us this year. Unfortunately, he will not currently be able to continue in this position with the pack - so I will be sending them and hope to live up to the wonderful precedent he has set J!
Email Removal Option
If you are receiving these newsletters and Pack 97 information, yet would no longer wish to – please email back your address and a quick note to remove you from our list and I will take gladly take care of that for you.
Night at the Knights
If you have not yet sent an email to Anthony Irwin with your intentions to join us for this event on June 6th – you are running out of time! He must send in the form and payment ahead of time and we really needed to know by today (May 22nd). This is absolutely your last chance to register for camping and to be able to sit with the Pack. Anyone who may want to attend the game, but cannot make a commitment quite yet – can probably still show up the night of the game and buy individual tickets, however, you likely will not be near the rest of the pack.
Please remember if you do want to attend you need to email Anthony at cubmaster@pack97scouts.com and let him know which option you are selecting for each member of your family:
Triple Crown: Sleepover/Game Ticket/T-Shirt: $19 (Make sure you indicate what size shirt)
MVP: Sleepover/Game Ticket: $11
Pinch Hitter: Game Ticket: $7
Please remember since dues are not collected over the summer - to include your scout in your total amount due. We will collect money from everyone and distribute tickets the day of the game. Additional details on when and where should be in the next newsletter.
Racing at Lowes Motor Speedway
This Saturday, May 24th is the Scout Scramble & Carquest 300 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway. We will not be attending as a pack, but all scouts are invited to attend and will receive free admission if in uniform. There is a daycare "camp" for the younger children of volunteers. Talk to Mary Stewart or Kathy Sharman for more information. This is a great inexpensive summer camp program that will get your scout a head start on next years requirements and he will have a great time doing it.

>Paper towel tubes
>Milk or OJ 1/2 gal. cardboard containers
