4th of July Parade

Thank you to those scouts and families who participated in the parade or cheered us along from the side!  It was a long walk, but the boys did great and I know we were so proud of them.  I’m sure the promise of free ice cream from the Cub Master at the end of the route may have had a little to do with the determination to make it through!  A big thanks you to Mr. Irwin on behalf of the boys, as well!

Sneak in Weekend at Camp Barnhardt

Information for this event was mailed directly to each scout.  To attend this event you must register directly through the Council.  A copy of the event flyer is attached in case you misplaced yours or would still like to try to contact them to register.  Anthony Irwin will be attending with his son Tyler, so please feel free to call him on his cell at 704-401-8560 if you have any additional questions on the event.

Sports Connection

Our next pack summer event is scheduled for July 26th at Sports Connection in Ballantyne.  Our scheduled time is from 1-3pm.  Our time block includes 1 hour of bowling, 1/2 hour of laser tag and 1/2 hour of games (a $5.00 card is included in our fee). Please plan to meet at the facility at 12:45pm so we can organize and enter as a group to receive the group rate of $15 per scout.  You will be able to pay the facility directly; therefore, we do not need you to pre-register.  We hope to see you there!  For directions and additional facility info:  please visit the website at www.sportsconnectionnc.com

Monster Truck Bash

This fun filled event scheduled for Saturday, August 16th at the Lowe’s Motor Speedway will include tickets for each scout member to attend The Dirt Track Monster Truck & Thrill Show, a commemorative patch for each scouts uniform, and breakfast to follow in the morning. Following the Monster Bash, the scouts will get to experience the thrill of Lowe’s Motor Speedway as they sleep under the stars in the infield with their fellow scout members.  The full package including the Sleepover is $22 per adult and $15 per child 12 and under.  Ticket only options are also available at $18 per adult and $9 per child 12 and under.

Registration is required for this event as a pack and must be submitted by August 1st to receive the rates listed.  As this is still part of the summer schedule program; any fees paid by the pack (including each scout ticket) will need to be reimbursed to the pack the night of the event.  Please keep in mind that if you register yet are unable to attend; you are still financially responsible for the tickets.

If you are interested in attending, please email Amy at amy@pack97scouts.com with the total number of adults and children and whether you would like the camping & ticket option or ticket only option.
