Community Service Activity

Over the summer, the Union County Saddle Club graciously allowed us to schedule a leaders/committee retreat campout on their grounds free of charge.  In return, we asked them to let us know when they might have a Community Service Activity scheduled where we could volunteer our services to give back to them.  Well, the time and event have been announced.  This Sunday, March 15th at 10am they have asked us to come out and paint their pvc arena fences during their final clean up weekend as they prepare for their show season.  We realize it is short notice, however, if any of you are free and willing to come help us out with this activity we would really appreciate the extra help.  They will have all the paint and supplies – they are just asking for as many helpers as possible.  Do not wear any scout uniforms or pack t-shirts – wear something you don’t mind possibly coming home covered in white paint.  I did confirm that they realize the age of our boys and that our helpers may not have the best painting skills – and they gladly responded they were ok with that J   There will be a sign-up sheet in the back.  Please see Amy if you have any additional questions.

The address for the Union Count Saddle Club is

216 E Sandy Ridge Rd

Monroe, NC28112-7311

If it is raining Sunday morning, it will be postponed.  Mapquest is pretty accurate – if you get lost on the way there, call my cell phone.

Webelos Woods

Just a reminder that all parents attending Webelos Woods will need to pay $10 to cover the cost of food for camping over this weekend.  Please see Amy with payment and see James with any specific camping questions.

Cub Scout Day Camp

Thank you to Mary Stewart who came last week and presented the schedule for this years Day Camp.  We have flyers available in the kitchen area if you did not receive one or would like additional information.
