The Weekly Newsletter of Cub Scout Pack 97Pack 97 Pinewood Thank you to everyone for all the wonderful food you brought and shared and for a great day of racing! Congratulations again to our winners who automatically qualified for the District Derby on April 18th: 5th Place: Mitch E. Friends & Family Winner: Elizabeth S. Fan Favorite: Alex I. This week is the deadline to sign-up and pay for the Sleeping with the Sharks and Medieval Times. If you have not signed up yet and aren’t going to make the meeting Tuesday, you need to email me before Thursday to be included. Webelos Woods Just a reminder that all parents attending Webelos Woods will need to pay $10 to cover the cost of food for camping over this weekend. Please see Amy with payment and see James with any specific camping questions. Community Service Activity Due to the rain this past weekend, our community service activity of painting fences at the Union County Saddle Club was postponed to this Sunday, March 22nd at 10am. If any of you are free and willing to come help us out with this activity we would really appreciate the extra help. They will have all the paint and supplies – they are just asking for as many helpers as possible. Do not wear any scout uniforms or pack t-shirts – wear something you don’t mind possibly coming home covered in white paint. I did confirm that they realize the age of our boys and that our helpers may not have the best painting skills – and they gladly responded they were ok with that J There will be a sign-up sheet in the back. Please see Amy if you have any additional questions. The address for the Cub Scout Day Camp Thank you to Mary Stewart who came last week and presented the schedule for this years Day Camp. We have flyers available in the kitchen area if you did not receive one or would like additional information. We will be Sleeping with the Sharks on Friday, April 24th and then enjoying a special scout event at Medieval Times on Saturday April 25th. Due to payment deadlines for each activity; registration and payment must be received to us by March 20th. We should have more information as we get closer, however, in order to start planning your schedule – here’s what we know so far.
