Bridging Ceremony/Sleeping with the Cows :)

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Despite the brief bursts of rain and threats of tornados, wasn’t it a great weekend?! It was our pleasure to share the last year with you and your scouts and we hope you all enjoyed the weekend and the ceremony. We wish Brett, Tanner, Harrison, George and Dylan the best of luck as they leave cub scouts and hope that they and all of you will continue with scouts next year either with us or another pack or troop.

Giving back to Christ Community Church

This week during our regular meeting time we will be working on outdoor projects to give thanks and give back to Christ Community Church in appreciation to them for allowing us to use their facilities and support us throughout the year. Please bring any landscaping tools, shovels, rakes, gloves, etc for you and the boys and wear clothing you don’t mind getting dirty. We will be mulching, weeding, planting, etc. This will also be our final den meeting of the regular scout season.

VFW Community Service Project

Another Community Service Project we have planned for this month is building a picnic bench and reflection area by the train tracks at the VFW. This will be another opportunity to bring your landscaping tools and help us make a beautiful area for the VFW to thank them for allowing us to use their facilities. This activity is planned for the morning of Saturday, May 16^th.

Summer Program Planning Meeting

Tuesday, May 19^th at 7pm will be our meeting to plan our summer activities. If you have ideas you would like to share for fun activities and/or events for the boys throughout the summer; please either email us your ideas or plan to join us! Once we finalize the schedule, I will send out a newsletter with all the events, dates and fees involved. Attendance to summer activities is not required to remain active with the pack next year. Those scouts who do participate in activities throughout the summer, however, will be eligible for a special award.

A Night with the Knights

On Friday, June 5^th is the annual Scout Night with the Knights which includes the opportunity to campout on the ball field after the 7:15pm game. Though this will be a part of the summer program (and the fees are therefore not covered by the pack for the boys) the deadline for registration and payment is this Tuesday, May 12^th.

Options available are as follows:

Triple Crown Package: Game Ticket + Sleepover + T-Shirt = $19/person

MVP Package: Game Ticket + Sleepover = $11/person

Pinch Hitter: Game Ticket = $7/per
