Summer Program Planning Meeting

This Tuesday, May 19th at 7pm will be our meeting to plan our summer activities.  If you have ideas you would like to share for fun activities and/or events for the boys throughout the summer; please either email us your ideas or plan to join us!   Once we finalize the schedule, I will send out a newsletter with all the events, dates and fees involved.  Attendance to summer activities is not required to remain active with the pack next year.  Those scouts who do participate in activities throughout the summer, however, will be eligible for a special award.

Bush Race Tickets

If you registered for tickets for next week’s Bush Race at Lowe’s Motor Speedway and have not yet received them – please email, call or contact Anthony Irwin as soon as possible.  Also remember that all scouts and leaders do need to be in uniform while attending this race.

A Night with the Knights

We have additional details for those joining us on Friday, June 5th for the annual Scout Night with the Knights.  Registration closed for this event last Tuesday. However, we are finalizing and submitting our list at our summer planning meeting so if there are any last minute additions – you need to contact me before 5pm on Tuesday, May 19th.

1.       Karen will get there between 5:30-6pm to pick up tickets/tshirts

2.       Everyone else should meet at 6:30pm near the will call with yellow shirts on. (We would like to go in as a group at 6:45pm so that we can get settled in our seats/drinks/food/bathroom before the game starts @ 7:15pm)

3.       Our advice for those camping would be to park nearer to the 1st base/Play Zone entrance.

4.       After the game, we’ll go out to our cars and get our camping gear.

5. All gear will be checked through security (be prepared for a wait in line – could be up to 1000 campers).

6.       Packs may line up early – outfield tent location general admission/first in/first on.

7.       Tent stakes not permitted.

8.       Wheeled coolers not permitted.

9.       Sleepover on the concourse in the event of rain.

10.   Rise and shine at 7am and move out

Leadership Positions Available

Several of our leaders from this past year will be moving up a rank along with their sons for the coming year.  Some of our leaders have also regrettably had to withdraw from positions for the next year….so, if you have considered donating your time and participating more fully in the pack; please consider volunteering for either a leadership or committee position in the coming year.  Either email or call Anthony Irwin, Karen or Amy with any questions!
