The Weekly Newsletter of Cub Scout Pack 97Email Removal With the end of the scout year comes our annual request for updating the email list. If you would no longer like to receive our weekly newsletters; please email back and I will remove your address from the contact list. Otherwise; we hope you continue to enjoy receiving the newsletter and being informed of our upcoming events! A Night with the Knights A few new notes:
Summer Kick-Off Meeting On Monday, June 8th will be our Summer Kick-Off meeting at Kate’s Skate at 6:30pm. We will have sign-up sheets and complete details for all the events we have planned for the summer. Please come join us if you plan to participate in any part of the summer program! If you cannot make the event; we will be posting full details on all events after the Kick-Off Meeting and we will have a contact listed for each event who you can call or email for details and signing up for each specific event. Leadership Positions Available Several of our leaders from this past year will be moving up a rank along with their sons for the coming year. Some of our leaders have also regrettably had to withdraw from positions for the next year….so, if you have considered donating your time and participating more fully in the pack; please consider volunteering for either a leadership or committee position in the coming year. Either email or call Anthony Irwin, Karen or Amy with any questions! Summer Bowling Program Adrienne referred the following link to us for anyone who enjoys bowling and has the chance to go during the morning/afternoon over the summer. www.kidsbowlfree.com When you register, kids get coupons for 2 free games of bowling each day. For only $23.95 you can purchase a family pass which provides coupons for 2 additional games of bowling every day all summer long along with the children that registered in your family. Though the family pass can be registered for up to 4 adult family members (mom, dad, siblings, grandparents, babysitters, etc) it only covers 2 additional games per day. It is only valid until 5pm each day and standard shoe rental rates apply. Both Adrienne and Karen have registered for the program and would be happy to answer questions as to the coupons they received, etc. Summer Program 6/5/09 Friday Night at the Knights 6/8/09 Monday Summer Program Kickoff at Kate’s Skate 6/13/09 Saturday Troop 276 Yard Sale at Green Scout Hut 6/15-6/19 6/18/09 Thursday Leaders/Committee Roundtable (Optional) 6/27/09 Saturday Reed’s Gold Mine, 10am 7/04/09 Saturday Indian Trail 4th of July Parade 7/11/09 Saturday Sneak in Weekend at Barnhardt (non-pack event) 7/18/09 Saturday Scout Day at NC 7/25/09 Saturday/Sun Leaders/Committee Retreat, Calendar Planning and Campout 7/27/09 Monday 1st Day of School, 8/8/09 Saturday Lazy 5 Ranch, 10am 8/15/09 Saturday Monster Truck & Sleepover at Lowe’s, Gates open at 5pm 8/25/09 Tuesday 1st Day of School, |
