The Weekly Newsletter of Cub Scout Pack 97

June 10, 2009

Thank you to all who joined us for our Summer Kick-Off meeting at Kate’s Skate on Monday night.  If you were unable to attend, please see below for calendar/event details.  If you are interested in attending any of the events, please email Karen with the names, number of attendees and contact information.

Night at the Knights Cancellation – Tickets and T-Shirts
Ironically - Good News!  The Knights game & sleepover were ultimately cancelled. We received a call today confirming the cancellation due to rain therefore, each person who had originally signed up will be receiving an un-dated general admission ticket to be used for any Charlotte Knights home game throughout the season (excluding July 4th).  Tickets will be mailed to Karen in approximately 1 week.  Also, anyone who was not present to receive their t-shirt, please contact Karen as well.

Leadership Positions Available

Several of our leaders from this past year will be moving up a rank along with their sons for the coming year.  Some of our leaders have also regrettably had to withdraw from positions for the next year….so, if you have considered donating your time and participating more fully in the pack; please consider volunteering for either a leadership or committee position in the coming year.  Either email or call Anthony Irwin, Karen or Amy with any questions!

Summer Bowling Program

Adrienne referred the following link to us for anyone who enjoys bowling and has the chance to go during the morning/afternoon over the summer.  www.kidsbowlfree.com  When you register, kids get coupons for 2 free games of bowling each day.  For only $23.95 you can purchase a family pass which provides coupons for 2 additional games of bowling every day all summer long along with the children that registered in your family.  Though the family pass can be registered for up to 4 adult family members (mom, dad, siblings, grandparents, babysitters, etc) it only covers 2 additional games per day.  It is only valid until 5pm each day and standard shoe rental rates apply.  Both Adrienne and Karen have registered for the program and would be happy to answer questions as to the coupons they received, etc.
