WELCOME BACK PACK 97!!!!! We hope you all had a great summer and are looking forward to the new scout year as much as we are!

ORIENTATION / RETURNING PARENT MEETING
Tuesday, August 25^th @ 7:00pm – Christ Community Church (Sanctuary)

A few important notes:

All new and returning scouts and parents need to attend this important kick-off meeting. There have been changes to our required equipment, dues and activity fees which will be reviewed at this meeting.
New Health Forms, Cub Scout Code of Conduct Forms and By-Law Acknowledgement Pages will also need to be completed for ALL scouts
We are limited to 60 scouts for our facility, therefore, it is extremely important that if you are planning to remain active with our pack yet cannot attend this meeting you notify Anthony Irwin at cubmaster@pack97scouts.com prior to the meeting so we can include you in our total and also so we can assign dens.
Activities are being planned by den to entertain scouts during the meeting.
Most dens will be playing outside – please have the scouts wear their yellow pack T-Shirts tonight.
Den Books and Regatta Boats will be available and distributed once we receive your 1^st Pack Fee installment.

CPCC TRAINING FOR LEADERS AND COMMITTEE MEMBERS

Saturday, September 26^th (all day) – CPCC Levine Campus

Future and returning Den Leaders and Committee Members - please mark your calendars! CPCC Levine Campus in Matthews will be hosting their annual all day “Scouter Success Seminar” on Saturday, September 26^th, 2009. This is a wonderful opportunity for those who might be interested in advancing their scouting knowledge and leadership skills PLUS, it is loads of fun. More information may be found on their website at www.mcctraining.org. Otherwise, please contact Anthony Irwin or Karen French for questions or more information.
Please note: Youth Protection Training certification is only good for 2 years. It is mandatory for all adult leaders and committee members to have this certification current before the scouting year begins. This may be completed on-line at http://olc.scouting.org/info/ypt.html
