This year our Since our regular den meetings are moved from next Tuesday, the 10th – I thought it would be a perfect time to schedule a committee meeting. We will be discussing among other things – our upcoming camping trip and menu; the Christmas Party, Christmas Presents and Christmas Parade. Please plan to join us if you have any interest in participating in the planning and execution of these events and more! Our den meeting on Tuesday will be replaced with our participation in the Veteran’s Day Ceremony on Wednesday at the Indian Trail VFW. The scouts will be cutting up old flags in the coming weeks and should be able to participate in the retiring ceremony. Prior to their ceremony; we will also be having a dedication for the picnic area our Pack created at the VFW over the summer. All scouts should arrive in FULL UNIFORM by 6:30pm for our picnic dedication. At 7:00pm the Veteran’s Ceremony will begin. Though this is not a Pack Scheduled event; we highly recommend it for all our scouts! It will be an opportunity for them to earn several badges and requirements specific to their den. Additional information and a registration sheet can be found through the following link. http://www.centralnccouncilbsa.com/CS%20Advancement%20Day%2011-14-09.pdf Please send all forms and payment directly to the Council office. The Indian Trail Christmas Parade is scheduled for 2pm on Sunday, November 29th- Rain or Shine. Anthony has already obtained confirmation for a trailer that can be used for our float. However, we need a FLOAT COMMITTEE CHAIR to make this happen. If you would like to volunteer for this position – please see Amy or Anthony as soon as possible. Mark your calendar now – our next camping trip will be November 20-22 at Belk Scout Camp. With our unusual schedule for Veteran’s Day it only leaves us this den meeting and the one on the 17th for registration and payment. We should have more information available for the next newsletter in terms of the agenda – below are links to the camp website, a camp map and directions.
