A Guest Pastor, Lunch and Cleaning

Christ Community Church will be hosting a guest Pastor on January 31st with a covered dish lunch afterward and would like to invite all scouts and their families to attend.  If you plan to attend the service – please also bring along a covered dish to share.  To help prepare for this event; we have been asked to provide a deep cleaning of the fellowship hall on Tuesday, January 26th immediately following our den meeting.  We ask that as many scouts and families as possible please plan to stay a little later after this den meeting to help us complete this task.

Scout Sunday

Every year in February (the month Scouting was founded) the Boy Scouts of America designates a Sunday specifically as Scout Sunday in which they encourage the scouts to attend service at the Charter Organization and to celebrate the importance of religion in scouting.  We expect all scouts to attend the service at Christ Community Church on Sunday, February 7th.  Since they are still without a pastor; we have coordinated with the church for us to conduct a Scout’s Own service on this date.  James Young has agreed to present the service for us and may be asking you or your scout for assistance with portions of the service!  If you have any ideas or items you would like to include; please contact James.

Donations for Scout Sunday

In appreciation to Christ Community Church for allowing us to use their facility each week we ask that each scout bring a paper/cleaning product as assigned by den to help offset some of their costs throughout the year.  We ask that each scout bring at least one of your assigned items though are encouraged to donate any additional products you can, as well.  I have assigned them below by den and also in the order of importance for items.  If for some reason you are not able to attend Scout Sunday; you may bring them in the den meeting before; otherwise please bring them with you to the Scout Sunday service.
