Pack Meeting

This week is our final Pack Meeting for the Scout Year! In addition to handing out awards, there will be a representative attending our meeting from Council who will be speaking about Friends of Scouting and asking for donations. If you are interested in making a donation to help scouting outside of our pack yet still within our council and area; please bring along some cash or your checkbook.

Giving Back to the Church

This Saturday, May 8th at 9am** we are requesting assistance from mostly adult and older scout volunteers to assist the church members with the cleanout and reorganization of their shed. This is really where they could use the most "give back" assistance from us - yet we do not necessarily feel it is the most age appropriate task for our younger scouts.

**I am still waiting for final confirmation that this is still on schedule. If there are any changes to the date or time I will send out a new email and/or we will announce it at the Pack Meeting.

Bridging/ Optimist Park Details

We have finalized a schedule and in reviewing the remaining pack funds - we have determined that there is enough money in our account that the Pack will be able to cover all fees for this special weekend! We will still have sign up sheets so we can determine what we need to purchase for each activity and meal - though you will find there are no fees on the sheet!

We realize at this time of year that we are also starting to lose some of the boys to various sports activities; which is also why we have scheduled the weekend at Optimist Park in Monroe. We are close enough that we hope if you do have other activities going on that you will sign up for and rotate in and out for as many activities as you can make. Please make sure however that they do not miss out on the Bridging and Arrow of Light Ceremonies. This is a very special night for all the boys and we would really like them to be there and receive the recognition for their hard work!

Our tentative schedule will be as follows:

Friday

7pm Dinner

8:30pm Campfire

Saturday

7:30am Breakfast

9-11am Olympics

11:30am Lunch

1:00pm Raptor Center/Bird Release Program 2:30-4:30pm Fishing Derby 5:00pm Dinner 6:30pm Ceremonies

Sunday

7:30am Breakfast

8:00am Scout's Own Service

For those who have not been to Optimist Park or need a refresh on directions - they are included on the Newsletter edition and will posted on the main page of the website .

Summer Schedule

Our official scout year does end with our Bridging Ceremony. In order to keep the boys interested in scouting and gear them up to come back for the next scout year (which begins in late August/early September - depending on when Council plans our next Roundup) we do try to schedule 1 or 2 fun activities a month over the summer. If you have any ideas for activities you think would be fun for all our scouts and families - please email them to me. Once we put together a complete schedule we will email it out to everyone.
