Parent Survey
Hard to believe summer vacation is nearly over for most of our scouts! With Shiloh starting back in just a week and a half; it is time for us to start planning the next scout year! If all of you could please complete the attached survey and email it to survey@pack97scouts.com it will help us make sure that the decisions and plans we make are most reflective of the wishes of the entire pack! Please return these to us by next Friday - July 23rd.
Cane Creek Park
Is anyone planning to join us this weekend at Cane Creek Park? Please email Anthony Irwin to cubmaster@pack97scouts.com if you plan to attend. If it is raining - this event will be cancelled. If you get lost and/or have any questions - please contact Anthony.

How about joining us for a picnic and a variety of outdoor activities? Cane Creek has a variety of activities available including mini golf ($2), canoe rental ($5), swimming ($4) and fishing ($2). There is sure to be something for everyone to enjoy!

Unfortunately, we were not able to negotiate the wonderful deal we had last time! In fact, it does not appear we will be getting any kind of discount off of their advertised prices at this time. The package we are leaning toward is the Laser Tag and Game card option listed as $12.95 on their website. Monster Truck Event
When: Saturday August 14th at 5pm

Where: The Dirt Track at Charlotte Motor Speedway

The most unique vehicles in motorsports return to The Dirt Track at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Saturday, Aug. 14 for the 11th Annual Back-to-School Monster Truck Bash. Monster Trucks are typically 11-feet tall and weigh nearly five tons. Their custom-built, fuel injected engines produce between 1,500 and 2,000 horsepower.

Calendar Planning Meeting
Anyone interested in serving as a leader or committee member this year and/or anyone interested in helping us plan our calendar for this scout year is invited to join us on August 7th at 10am for our Calendar Planning meeting. I will be hosting this at my house - so please let me know if you plan to attend and I'll forward you directions. Come ready with ideas, pricing, dates for special events, etc. Sometimes this meeting takes a few hours - sometimes it takes all day! Either way - we'll make sure we have enough food! Come share your ideas or email them to me for inclusion!
