Parent Survey
Well, it appears I may have found one of the reasons some surveys were not going through. If you happened to copy and paste the email address I provided in the last newsletter - I spelled survey wrong - so they were getting bounced back. Therefore - I'm extending the survey filing for 1 more week!!! PLEASE fill this out and help give us suggestions for planning the year! Sports Connection

Unfortunately, we were not able to negotiate the wonderful deal we had last time! In fact, it does not appear we will be getting any kind of discount off of their advertised prices at this time. The package we are leaning toward is the Laser Tag and Game card option listed as $12.95 on their website. Calendar Planning Meeting
Anyone interested in serving as a leader or committee member this year and/or anyone interested in helping us plan our calendar for this scout year is invited to join us on August 7th at 10am for our Calendar Planning meeting. I will be hosting this at my house - so please let me know if you plan to attend and I'll forward you directions. Come ready with ideas, pricing, dates for special events, etc. Sometimes this meeting takes a few hours - sometimes it takes all day! Either way - we'll make sure we have enough food! Come share your ideas or email them to me for inclusion!
Monster Truck Event
When: Saturday August 14th at 5pm

The most unique vehicles in motorsports return to The Dirt Track at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Saturday, Aug. 14 for the 11th Annual Back-to-School Monster Truck Bash. Monster Trucks are typically 11-feet tall and weigh nearly five tons. Their custom-built, fuel injected engines produce between 1,500 and 2,000 horsepower.
- Adults Ticket Only - $18
- Scouts Ticket Only - $9
- Adults w/ Sleepover - $22 (Includes Breakfast)
- Scouts w/ Sleepover - $15 (Includes Breakfast)
I have had a few people email me asking about specifics as to who to pay and when for this event. Checks can either be written to me or to Pack 97. I will have to put it on my credit card this Monday (August 2nd) in order to have the tickets mailed next week. For now, let's plan on meeting Tuesday, August 10th at 7pm at Christ Community Church. I should recieve the tickets by then and it will get you back in the swing of our weekly meetings :) If you would like to go - but cannot meet at that time - just let me know and we'll work out something else.
For now though - I need to know who wants to register for this event. Since the deadline is Monday - I really need to know from you by this Sunday so I have enough time to compile the list and get it to them in time! If you would like to go; please email me total number of tickets you need and if you also want to camp or not!
