Christmas/Holiday Party

Our next big event coming up is our Christmas Party THIS Friday December 10^th at 7pm.   This will be held at the VFW to allow plenty of room for guests and dining. The pack will be providing Ham, Turkey and Chicken Nuggets.  We are asking all scouts to sign up by den for additional dishes as follows:

Tiger Den:          Salad & Dressing

Wolf Den 1 & 2: Dessert

Bear Den 1:       Bread/Rolls

Bear Den 2:       Vegetables

Webelos:          Other side dishes (potatoes, pasta salads, chips, etc)

There will be 2 sign up sheets available at the den meeting this week; one for overall attendance and one for specific dishes by den.  Please be sure to sign up on both sheets!

If anyone is interested in arriving early to help set up and decorate (or to Chair the decoration committee) please see Amy or plan to arrive to the VFW at 6 pm.

Popcorn Distribution

Backordered popcorn is here!  We will be handing out the Backordered Items during this week’s den meeting.  Due to the fact that we had partial cases left of some product after filling orders – we still have a few items available for sale.  If anyone is interested in purchasing any of the following – please let me know!

3 Chocolate Caramel Crunch ($17 each)

3 Caramel Corn with Nuts ($17 each)

2 Butter Toffee Light ($16 each)

1 Microwave Butter Light ($18) 

Prizes have not yet arrived and unfortunately, I do not expect them to arrive prior to our Winter break.  As soon as we receive them, though, we will let you know!

December Pack Activity

Instead of having a visitor come in for December and discuss what they do; we are asking all our scouts to be the presentors this month. On December 14th we are asking everyone in the pack to bring in a collection of their own to present to the pack. As some of the ranks include this requirement for a 10-item collection; all scouts should have at least 10 items in their collections. We will set up display tables and each scout will have an opportunity to present them to the other scouts and families throughout the hour. Please make sure the items are well marked as to what the collection is. This can be as simple as post-its or you can make diagrams, poster boards, boxes, etc.

Winter Break

We will not be meeting over the holiday break while both schools are closed. Since Shiloh is closed an additional week longer than Sun Valley and in our experience the attendance during that week is slim - we will be on vacation that third week as well. Therefore, there will be no meetings on December 21st, December 28th or January 4th.

Second Installment of Dues

Please remember that our second installment for dues of $65 is due when we return from break and needs to be paid no later than January 18^th.  If you have any questions; please see Amy or Anthony.

My apologies!  I discovered this weekend that I had not posted a single photo yet for this scout year.  Over the weekend I updated and posted the photos for all the events that I had.  I also updated our group our shot on the main website.  Stop by and take a look when you get a chance J
